Brother Brian SSF – A Life Less Ordinary

Amongst the latest of our friends at Saint Michael & All Angels, Christchurch, to enter into the life of Paradise, was Brother Brian, of the Anglican Society of Saint Francis, in Hamilton, Aoteroa/New Zealand.

As an ex Brother of that Franciscan Family, my own memories of Brother Brian go back to 1975 when I joined that Community in Brisbane, Australia.  Brian was one of the senior Brothers of our Anglican Society and, at that time, was serving in the Pacific Islands, where his presence will have been remembered among the indigenous people long after his presence there among them.

Loke Brother Francis SSF, Brian was one of the long-haul members of the Society, having joined soon after his priesting in the U.K. His influence has been of paramount importance for many members of SSF – not least among the people of the Pacific Anglican community, where he was a beloved teacher and mentor.

May he rest now in peace + and rise one day with Christ in glory. Amen
